The Best Streetwear Collaborations

Partnership. That exciting feeling of joining forces to make the world a better place. Or at least our wardrobe. When it comes to fashion, collaborations between streetwear brands and luxury brands, high-end designers or musicians have considerably increased these past few years. Streetwear fashion doesn’t only hit the streets now but also the runways with its fashionable yet comfortable and laidback branding. These collections are only available at the few retailers and the name of the brands involved alone is enough to fuel the hype.

Let’s take a look at some of the biggest streetwear collaborations of these past few months.

Supreme x Louis Vuitton

Supreme x Louis VuittonSupreme is no stranger to collaborations as they have been going at it since 2007 with the launch of the Supreme x The North Face collab. Ten years later, the brand launched a new collection with one of the most prominent luxury brands for what was to become a staple in streetwear collaborations. The collection ranged from clothing to accessories stamped with overlapping patterns of Louis Vuitton’s famous monogram and the just as famous Supreme sticker. Way to get your street cred, Louis.

Neighborhood x N*E*R*D

Neighborhood x N*E*R*DWho doesn’t love wearing merch of their favorite band or artist to show how a true supporter they are. You can now take it to another level with this tremendous partnership between the brand Neighborhood and the band N*E*R*D to celebrate the launch of their new album. Pharrell Williams already collaborated with a few brands before but this time, this was a teamwork that provided us with a collection of minimalist patterns with graphics from the band’s new album.

Gosha Rubchinskiy x Adidas

Gosha Rubchinskiy x AdidasUsed to streetwear collaborations, Gosha Rubchinskiy debuted a new collection in collaboration with Adidas. You can now sport football jerseys with high-end streetwear designs. The patterns follow the rule of the overlapping logos with Rubchinskiy’s trademark Russian script. The collection includes football gears from jackets to sneakers with a vintage spirit and a modern touch from the designer.

Nike x Undefeated

Nike x UndefeatedWhat a better way to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Nike’s Air Max 97 and the 15th anniversary of the Los Angeles shop than to partner up for a collaboration. The most popular piece of this collection has to be the revisited sneakers in black mesh and leather with the signature green and red lines and the Undefeated branding. And due to popular demand, the brand also released a white and an olive declination.

Fashion consumers are now ready to be impressed by novelty every season. These collaborations are a good way for brands to provide their audience with new and innovative items but with less risks to staple their brand with pieces that wouldn’t keep their consumers’ attention in the long run. Ready to reach a mainstream audience, these limited collections allow the brands to experiment with new styles and designers. Their success tells us that there are definitely more to come and we can’t wait to see which brands will partner up this year.
